Annual Mustard Seed Luncheon: 21st October 2016
The 4th Annual Mustard Seed Lunch at the Mansion House was a huge success!
Year on year this event has gone from strength to strength.
With the beautiful Round Room packed to capacity the day brought almost 500 people together, everyone sharing the same common goal; to help those less fortunate. Avery special thanks to everyone who supported the 2016 event and for making it happen!
And what a fantastic day! Hosted by Newstalk’s Ger Gilroy and with entertainment provided by tenors ‘Duo Vocis’ guests were up on their feet together in song.
Peter Kelly, the creative genius that is ‘Franc’ dazzled guests by bringing the Mustard Seed to life by filling the Round Room with a blanket of fresh green Mustard Seed plants growing on every table centrepiece and in every corner of the magnificent venue.
Special guest, Andy Farrell, Irish Rugby defence coach spoke from the heart about Anthony Foley and the day ended quite rightly with a heartfelt tribute and song to the Munster rugby hero making it a special day to remember.
You can check out the snaps from the day here.
The funds raised at the lunch will go towards the building of an extension to The Little Angels School in Zimbabwe, and support underprivileged children in the local Woodville, Bulawayo community who cannot afford vital grade zero education. The architectural plans for the school extension have been completed and the physical work on the site is scheduled to begin in January 2017. The money raised at the lunch will be used to purchase the building materials required to proceed with the January schedule. With everything going to schedule we expect that the project will be completed by August 2017!
